Our 2017 Travel Summary

I couldn’t believe that 2017 is almost over, the year passed so fast! It was a busy year for me at work, my photography side business to fund my travels, and travel. I visited 10 countries this year and reached my milestone of 30 countries! A look back at our trips that we made this year (some are still in the progress of writing the trip reports!), another record of the most trips I traveled in a year – 7 trips….I think I had used every single long holiday weekend except for the ones that I had weddings to photograph! I am looking forward to our adventures in 2018! I wish you all a healthy and wealthy New Year, don’t forget to make time for travels!

Trip #1 January: I started 2017 at the beautiful French Polynesian islands then a quick stop at New Zealand on the way home.
Trip #2 April-May: Our crazy 3 weeks trip through Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Morocco, and Italy. Sahara Desert was an amazing experience!
Trip #3 July: 4th of July Weekend at Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. The Grand Prismatic Spring was so colorful that it did not disappoint!
Trip #4 August: Safari in South Africa where we got so close to the lions and followed them at night!
Trip #5 October: A long weekend getaway to the Cotswolds, UK for our birthday month where I got pampered like a princess and stayed in a mansion and castle!
Trip #6 November: We did a quick Veteran’s Day weekend trip to Bryce and Zion to view its incredible landscape of hoodoos and colorful rocks.
Trip #7 November: Thanksgiving trip to get some sun and warmth at the White Villages of Andalusia, Spain.

  1. Good luck in the new year.
Are you concentrating on Asia this year? How do you deal with all the 12+hour flights?Anything over 8 hours tends to wipe me out.

    1. Hi Tom, yes heading to Southeast Asia next week!!! I am that type of person who can sleep anywhere, anytime, as long as I get my 8 hours of sleep LOL so I have no issue at all sleeping in the plane in economy seat 😀 Perhaps you can fly with multiple connections at less than 8 hours each 😉
